    Mathews Reezen/Hoyt Alpha Max?

I'll be buying a new bow shortly, of course I'll have both bows in question set up to shoot, the Reezen has better reviews than the Alpha Max, it appears the Alpha has an issue with hand shock? the 7" brace height is more forgiving on the Reezen, no adjustment for draw length., any comments

        Both are Killing Machines!!!

Shoot them blind folded and pick one. HEADS/TAILS

I am a Mathews fan, but I would buy either one of these

I have been shooting Mathews since the started the company but feel like should give both a fair shake and let the way they each shoot make the decision for you.

I own a Bowtech, and like both the bows you have mentioned. So I can give you an honest answer.

1st: Both are top of the line bows by each manufacturer.
2nd: The AlphaMax is lighter than the Reezen.
              3rd: Reezen shoots faster

Since your narrowed down to 2 bows, shoot both of them. You honestly cant go wrong with either one.

From what I've seen you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to shoot the Monster as well. Many have and have been hooked - myself included.

why not try the PSE Omen? Faster and light!

Shoot them both, set up the same way to compare shock. Put the stabilizer that you'll be using on it too for a fair comparison. I like the Hoyt in black with the camo limbs like they have one on the rack at the local bow shop.

I've shot both, side by side and I have to say the Reezen had quite a bit more hand shock than the Alpha Max. Felt like a tuning fork on the right side of the bow, compared to the Hoyt, IMO. Shoot 'em all and pick which feels best to you. That's the way I did it and ended up with the Admiral, not quite as fast but smoother than either of the other two. Again, this is my opinion and wouldn't hold up in court. lol

I haven't shot the Reezen, and I'm not a Hoyt fan, but I really liked the Alpha max.
