    Food plot questions...

What is the best spray chemical to use on a food plot to kill all the grass that has grown up through the spring/summer?

We usually drag/plow the fields before we plant w/out killing the old grass and it looks real bad seeing the old grass mixed in on our fields, but this year we want to do it right. We will be using an atv and a large tank sprayer but we would like to know what is best and when is best to do it?

    Any suggestions/opinions?

    Thanks

Depends, are you wanting to kill everything and replant? If so then Roundup or a generic brand such as Eraser.

If you are wanting to kill only the grass and there is some type of food plants left in there then you will want to use a grass killer that does not kill your Soybeans or clover. Arrest will kill grass in Soybeans.

Whitetail Institute offers top deer nutrition products designed to meet any need. Shop scientifically formulated supplements, attractants, herbicides, and more.

There are other specific herbicides depending agin on what you are trying kill versus what your trying to save.
