awesome lunch with Oscar and his Mrs
been planning this lunch mtg forever as the timing was always wrong
Oscar and Denise were passing through Lafayette this w/e to visit his parents down in the Parish
(Edgard, LA)
got the call around 12:30p that they were coming back early and invited me to lunch
guess where we went ........................................Prejean's
my 8 yr old daughter Morgan wanted to tag along and meet OT and his wife
we had fried alligator as an appetizer that was kickin'
Morgan, in typical 8 yr old fahion, had a hamburger and fries kids meal along with 4 refills of Sprite
Denise and I ordered the grilled red snapper , stuffed with lump crab meat and topped with crawfish cream sauce. Side orders were corn machoux and Prejeans famous dirty rice dressing
Oscar had a fried oyster seafood cesar salad that was HUGE and covered in oysters
For desert, Morgan ordered bread pudding with rum sauce and ate 1 bite .... guess I have a late night desert
Oscar gave me 1/2 of his bananas foster desert since it was a giant serving for 2-3 people
after 2 hours of excellent food and conversation, it was time for Oscar and Denise to head back to H-town
I hooked them up with a little surpise ...... some Zapp's potato chips newest flavor ...... Sweet Potato chips that are awesome
eventhough I left my camera at the house

can't wait to do it again as it was definitely a pleasure mtg Mr and Mrs Taylor ...... truly genuine individuals that felt like family from back home

I don't believe I have met his better half though.
Regrettably I am trying to stay on my diet but after 3 days in south Louisiana it was NOT easy at all. 
Doggie bag? Yeah right!
