Directions from College Station to West Texas

I need to leave from the BCS area on Sunday and head West to Arizona. What is the best route for me to take to get to West Texas heading towards El Paso.

Hwy 36 to Abilene then get on the interstate

Ditto, except I would keep going west on 290 all the way to I-10. That's just because I like that drive. Speed limit is 80mph out there on I-10!

I would take 6 all the way to 20 and then go west.

If you go I-10 the speed limit is 80! might save some time!

From College Station go to Temple. From Temple get on 36 to Abilene.

From Abilene get on 20 till you get to US84.

Take US 84 to Post TX. At post get on 380 stay on 380 till you get to I-25 in NM. Go north on I-25 for about 7 miles until you get to Socorro NM.

At Socorro get on US 60 and it will take you all the way to Mesa AZ.

A much nicer drive than goin the hell paso way.

Depends. You going SW or W? I would say HWY 36 to I20 or head west until you hit I10. You did say El Paso, Both will get you there. I will be doing the 36 to I20 route coming and going.
