    Question on Antler growth

My first picture post, so I apologize in advance if it does not work!!

This is my first year to have the cameras out while following the antler growth during the offseason. This deer inparticular, seems to be in a different category (further along) compared to the rest of the deer at this point. Does this mean this deer is going to be absolutley huge? Or is it that he dropped his horns earlier than the rest of the deer, and has had more time to grow? Do some deer grow majority of their bone early on, and somewhat coast for the remainder of the 2months? I am interested and would appreciate any input. The trophies at my ranch are in the 150 class, but I am hoping that this deer could break the barrier?

He is probably ahead of schedule, but that deer has a good shot at the 150s.

Do you remember any deer from last year that he might be?

I agree he prolly dropped earlier than others and an older deer......I have one similar but not as wide with g4's as well............With 150's being your trophy class on the place he might break that......keep your fingers crossed!
