    Mt Lion

I saw my first Mt. Lion today. Just about two miles north of Allison. It crossed the road and was carrying some small critter in it's mouth. I was riding my bike so no pic's. I'm stoked, I've always wanted to see one.

I have a place between Cisco and Cross Plaines. I've been told there are Mt Lions in the area. I haven't seen any. Does anybody know if it's true.

Don't mean to be a thread stealer, just wondering.

Yes thare are some in that area! They killed one in strawn a few yeras ago and one attacked a horse in Patillo last week suppossedly and killed it. Thats east of you a little bit but they have large areas they cover and there have been some spotted around ranger I know for sure.

I would love to see a mt. lion as much as anything. I wonder if it was a cub in its mouth?

It was tan. I was riding my Suzuki Intruder. I could have gone just as fast if I had been on a bicycle though. Allison is 100 miles east of Amarillo and 30 miles north of I-40.

My buddy has been seeing one for three years on his family place in Pickton. Finally got game cam pics of it about three weeks ago and it turns out there are two. Pretty neat but disturbing thinking about how many times I have walked that place in the dark with only a bow.
