I'm pretty sure it's the Big Mineral unit, the Sandy unit, and the Godwin unit this year. I will be hunting Seg "C", due to a doe harvest in "C" last year. Sure wish I was in "A" or "B", preferably "B". Wanna trade?

I could probably supply a couple of campers if needed, for TBH'ers. And...... park em w/in 10 minutes of "H".

Might help save some traveling time and motel $$$.............

    Good luck............. D.

The 3 units that are up this year are all on the west side so your easiest access is probably going to be off of highway 901. You can get there from the east too, though, and since you will have to be checking in you should familiarize yourself with the drive. But for scouting, check out the drive in from 901 via highway 82.
Big mineral and sandy have been open, Godwin is the new unit that's open this year.

I am on the W side of Hagerman. And yes, you will have to be checking in/out during the hunt.

This will be my 5th year in a row hunting "H". It's kinda a pain having to drive all the way back to the headquarters when I could be home in the same amount of time!

One thing to keep in mind is that refuge road is closed off at 1417. Not sure how long that is going to be shut off.

Is it closed due to the flooding?

I haven't been down refuge road via 1417 but I do know the part of refuge road that goes through the refuge is open; I drove through there Sunday night. Saw lots of activity. The refuge has lost a LOT of big trees there in Big Mineral along the road and creek. Also lost a huge old oak right there by the gate to BM.

Refuge road, off of 1417, is closed due to construction, not flooding.

Grayson...... Can you get through the low water crossings between the head quarters and Sandy???

Yep....can't go from HQ north to Goode via Hagerman Road but you can go W through Big Mineral to Sandy. The water is maybe 8-10 inches.
