deer hunting in bastrop county

I may have found some land to hunt on in southern Bastrop county and was just wondering what it might be like. I have never hunted around this area and would like a little feed back on those who have weather it is good or bad, any info will help. Thanks.

I hunt in Bastrop county, antler restrictions and no doe permits on our 1400 acres. Lots of turkeys though.

any size to the bucks in the area, cant you harvest does during the archery season

I seen a few good ones but alot of scraggle horn young bucks when I was hunting in Paige 2 years back. Please let me say that there are some woppers in these parts too so I say go ffor it, Focus on the fece rows and other islands of brush left off of the beaten path.
