I understand what your getting at.
But fact is if you can hit at 10 and then bqck up to 20, don't you think 15 isn't nessesary?
No one really is shooting deer out past 30 yards mostly.
You have people that will, but if you look at the B&C and P&Y records. The average shot is 17 yards. So the 20 pin would be good for it.
You could get into an ethical debate saying if you don't have a 10,15,20 setup your not being real ethicalabout your shot. But the ethics are up to the hunter/shooter. If one feels 20 is good from 10 yards plus, then he/she is being ethical about their shot. Also it makes for judging distance a little easier to learn.
If I measure or range find 20 yards and set my pin to an actual 20.
It is no diffrent then pacing 20 and setting the pin. Reason I say this is if I call my paced 20 my 20 yard shot. And shoot it as 20 I can still judge distance and shoot an animal at my 20 even tho it can really be 15 in actual yards. Really the actual measurment would be a 15 yard pin.
But that's getting to deep into the subject, I set my pins at actual measured yards 20,30,40 since I only had 3 pins. I will never shoot that 40 yard pin at an animal like a deer. Maybe a pig or rabbit.

I sight in at 10,20,30,40, thats as far as I feel comfortable shooting at, and yes I shoot at those distances.
