    Financing

Do we have any bankers here on TBH? I'm fixin' to buy a Ranger and the best interest rate I've been quoted at any of my financial institutions is 7.9%. Can anyone beat that? Thanks

That sounds high. I guess it depends on your credit, to some extent. There is a credit union near me that was offering in the high 5% range last week. I think a credit union is the way to go.

Isn't that about the going rate for an ATV? My latest BPS circular had ATVs and mentioned 7.9%, I believe.

Huntmaster as a community banker I can tell you that 7.9 %(from a bank) is a pretty good rate right now I know It would be pushing it for me to offer that low of a rate on a ranger. As TxJohn said a credit union could probably beat it what does the polaris financing compay offer they usually offer better rates to encourage sales just make sure you know the exact deal your getting don't negotiate on payment ammount negotiate on interest rate and sales price.

that rate is from my credit union. I didn't even talk to the dealer about financing.

I am also interested in buying a Utility Vehicle. Do the manufacturers ever offer 0% financing at the end of the year like automobile companies? I really like the Polaris Ranger XP and the Kubota RTV900R.

Billy, Texan's credit union looks a little better then that for their lowest rate accorcing to their website. The might be who you are already with.

I've decided to get it out of savings to pay off my BPS visa(when I use it to get all those points) and pay me 7% on top of that to put it back in savings.

im a community banker and i'd go broke if i made loans at that rate. we're paying rates (cd's) that high these days. i'd find a 0% credit card and get on it.

Trust me, stay away from the Kubota, call me to discuss. We have had both, the Ranger is much, much better. The Kubota needs a lot more power. Needless to say, we were very dis-satisfied with the Kubota. We are now on our 3rd Ranger and couldn't be happier.
