    I hate chiggers!!!

These dang chiggers are relentless! I went to the lease this weekend scored on two 100# hogs, but I am paying for it now with these chiggers. The wife put clear nail polish on most of the bites, but the the ones aroung the waist and at the top of my ankles just at the top of my shoes are killing me. Is there anything else I can do? I got a bite stick but that only lasts a few minutes.

I haven't found anything but time its self, for any kind of lasting relief. But I'm right there with you I have about 6 of them from my trip to Junction.

              Hydrocortisone cream.

If they get a lil infected from scratchi;, etc just use some neosporin or zit medicine for the infection.

The hydrocortisone really takes away that itch.

Rancher at our lease swears by skin so soft in a bath.

Don't want to get them in the first place? - wear Buzz Off clothing - shirts / pants / socks. I haven't had a tick or chigger since wear it - 4 years and counting. Other brands have since come on the market.

Take a bleach bath. Use 3 capfuls of bleach in a hot as you can stand it bath for 15-20 minutes. That will kill chiggers. The use calamine (sp) lotion and it will help it heal and also help with the itching....

I feel your pain. I have about a dozen of them with me right now.

Get kerosene, rub on the chiggers and take a bath. That will kill them and it will not hurt you.

I've done that before, and it seems to work.

Chiggers hike across the county to get on me, so I'm an expert....NOTHING WORKS!
That's why I make my living on the water.

That's it! Just did this about 2 weeks ago cause I had em bad. Of coarse it doesn't completely stop the itching but it helps some. Main thing is it kills em dead so the itching will stop in less time.
