I have a Barnett that I really like.............I think I paid less then $300 for it ready to go minus broadheads from Cabelas.......If you stick with Barnett or Horton you can't go wrong......

I know my uncle hunts with a handicap friend and i'm pretty sure he uses a Horton. I've heard good things about Horton and Barnett so like bowhuntertex says, i dont think you could wrong with either!

My dad just got a Horton Team Realtree HD 175 Crossbow for $500 from Bass Pro. I shot it for the first time today and when i really focused I could hit the bulls eye at 50 yards. Its a little loud but from what I hear that is just the nature of the beast. Before we bought this one was asked a lot of people for advice and some people who i really trust told me that Ten Point was way overpriced for what you get and that the Excalibur type of x-bow was not the way to go. I really like it and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife has a Horton that she shoots pretty well. The only problem is I have to cock it for her. But it's worth the effort!
