piggies like grass. A perch trap baited with a redfish carcass is the go to.

Peel a little piece of shrimp and drop it next to jetties or some type of structure. If you dont peel it, it will be gone QUICK..

Well after replacing probably a million pieces of shrimp over the years, forget it. Use squid. Ypou can catch a bunch before they get it off the hook. Use the smallest treble hook you can find, cut a small piece of squid, and go to town. I'm heading down to PA tomorrow, and i like to use piggy perch when fishing off the pier or jetties.

Castnet in the surf. Of find a dock and use a piece of gulp shrimp on a perch hook.

They swim in packs, root in the sand, and tip over your fish feeders.

goto an area with a fish cleaning station and throw a castnet- Dont let the net go to the bottom to stay away from hardheads. Should have enough in a cast or two.

You looking for piggy pech or pin perch...

You're gonna catch more pin perch on docks than piggies....at least in my experiences with bait traps..

There IS a distinction between piggy perch and pinfish. Most folks are talking about pinfish when they say piggy perch, though. Piggies are better bait, harder to get and harder to keep alive. Softer bodied and marked up differently.
