I have watched some of his films and he was a master at hunting mature bucks... To bad it ended that way.. But to take 3 free ranging B&C bucks was unheard of at the time... I wish I had some of his books....I am always up to learning from the older guys....

I remember watching some of his videos when I was in college. The thing that turned me off to him was when he gut shot a big buck. The next scene was him dragging it up after dark in the headlights. The video discretely didn't show the dead deer's rack very well in the headlights. However, after rewinding several times, it was clearly a different buck than the one he gut shot. If you can't find the deer, just admit your mistake and move on. Don't try to hide it by claiming to find it when actually it's a different deer all together.
