    Arrow weight experiment

Here's a test I did at work using scales calibrated to ±0.0002 grains. I just bought some Carbon Express weight forward camo arrows. I fletched one blazers, one w/wrap and blazers and one Cabela's brand hunter 6075 w/Blazers. I weighted them all along with a Carbon Express 4in vanes that it came with. The results where surprising:

    1. Carbon Express Rebel Hunter camo w/4 inc vanes= 379.635 gr
    2. Carbon Express Rebel Hunter camo w/2 in Blazers and arrow wrap= 379.635gr
    3. Carbon Express Rebel Hunter camo w/2 in Blazers vanes, no wrap= 373.462 gr
    4. Cabela's Hunter 6065 no wrap w/2in. Blazers= 320.992 gr

I guess I'm surprised that #1 and #2 weighed the same.

No broadheads or fieldpoints where weighed with arrows.

Just thought I'd pass the results to yall.

You are surprised that 2" Blazers weigh less than 4" regular vanes and that a wrap weighs 6 grains?

No. i'm surprised that 2 blazers and an 8 inch wrap weighs the same as 3 four inch blazers.

Man, tuff crowd.... I always believed that 8in wraps and blazers where heavier than 4 in vanes. No big deal, bro, just putting it out there....
