I found a dpms a-15 (223 or 5.56) brand new with case and 2-20 round mags for $800. It has the handle on top for carrying it. Adjustable stock and chrome barrel.

Not a bad deal for a more entry level ar. Definately below the going rate. If you didn't like it you could probably flip it for a profit. Sounds like a win win to me. I'd get it if I had the cash! -

I think prices will start coming down. Seems like the scare is fizzling out. For a while you could not find em as they were selling like hot cakes but thats does not seem to be the case currently. Even Ammo is easier to come by now. My local Academy had been out of most ammo for what seemed like for ever and every time a new AR or AK would come in it would not last for more than 30 mins. Now I have seen 3-4 ARs and an AK that have been sitting there for the last week and the .223 cheapo rounds been sitting on the shelf as well.Comment

It is not the light model.

prices are falling pretty much everywhere.
Im seeing DPMS going for $700-$850 on a lot of websites.

DPMS AR's were going at the gun show at Reliant center for 800 bucks, so you did ok, especially if it was a purchase from an individual and no paperwork...Comment

My son told me people were camping out for 3 days before a big gun show in Reno, NV this week to be able to buy ammo, all the local stores are sold out. The best guns salesman is still in the white house.Comment
