    Another earth quake

Alright, I think the 4th quake just hit Cleburne. About 15 minutes ago. Just got in from work and kicked on the green screen, and another boom and a shimmy...... Not as strong as the one Sunday afternoon, but I think it will count as number 4.......

The news said today that they might actually be related to the gas drilling

As much gas as they are PUMPING into the ground right now to save since the price is low could be rupturing the rock formations under gound and causing problems!!! Just an idea!!

gas wells and frac'ing those things i am afraid is the cause, but i am no geologist.
same thing happened in the large gas field southeast of san antone a year or so ago.
having been in the oil/gas business, i am not knocking them, but anytime you pump thousands of barrells of water into a small diameter hole at thousands of psi for hours on end, somethings gotta give in my opinion, and up there its the shale.

You have a point, BUT the wells are not as deep as the origins of the quakes.

I thought I felt something myself but figured I jsut farted instead.

Gassy SOB.... I hate to point fingers at the oil/ gas industry because its my bread and butter, but I know sooner or later things have to settle or give way. I know the origins are far deeper than any prroducing wells or injection wells, but i also see that the pressure changes well below our feet have to be affecting something.

Imagine a giant truck driving down the street and it starting to vibrate the ground where you are. That's how they feel to me. Then stuff starts moving, and it's not fun.

In a few years the Barnett Shale will be one big sink hole.

The next question is who looses their rights. The surface owners or the mineral owners?

I am on the edge of the Shale in Erath county and I may have lake front property on Lake Barnett someday.
