    Any 3D pointers out there?

I am thinking of shooting in the ASA coming to Paris in March, since I live here. What do you change your in hunting setup when you switch over to 3d shooting. Like arrows, fletcing(was told to use dark), release, stabilizer, Field points(style, weight), sights(I use a 3 pin). This will be the first shoot for me, so any help would be great.

Brian. Don't change anything. Since its your first shoot sign up for Bowhunter Novice class. Its 30 yard max. and all 40 targets (20 each day) are KNOWN distance. The only two rules you need to observe is 12" stabilizer max. from point of attachment and 280 fps (actually 288 with 3% for chrono variance).

Other than those two items just come on and have fun. If you have any ASA questions pm me.

Do I need to chrono my setup before I go? I don't have a clue what my fps is for my bow. My setup is an XT, 28" draw, 63#s, carbon express arrows, and 100 gr field points. I would guess less than 288.

I would think you will be fine as far as speed goes.

              Speed

Your speed should be fine. There are chronos set up at the tournament site for anyone to use.

Show up and have a great time. No need to change your hunting set up. Bowhuntntxn and I are at the ASA Pro/Am in Mississippi right now. Come out and have fun. I hope to see you there should be a big turnout. If you have any questions let me know.

Brian, just enter the BOW NOVICE class. It is a 30yd max class. If you have more than 1 pin on your sight you will be OK. Hope I get to meet you in Paris.
