    bar-b-que made from bricks?

I'm tearing down a brick wall that surrounds my patio on 3 sides. I want to salvage some of the brick and make a bar-b-que from it in the backyard. Nothing huge, but a decent size one. If anyones got any ideas on making one or any pics I could use for ideas I'd appreciate it? Thanks...

Don't think you can get them tender enough to eat.

You have to marinate them over night and use a ton of sauce

I'm a bricklayer by trade. I've built brick pits before and they look nice, but personally I have a steel pit. It takes to much wood burning to get a brick pit hot and keep it hot. I'ts a lot easier to regulate the temperature on a steel pit. My two cents worth.

you have to be very careful with the type of brick as some have air trapped in them that can expand and explode. Even the small bangs can weken the brick...lining the pit with mortar will help prevent this.....I used a cut-up sidewalk to make an outdoor firepit by standing the sections on end in a circle, then austin stone around it.....

I think it's easier to make bricks out of BBQ then the other way around.

                        brick smoker

This is one my FIL built. It is one of the best pits I've ever cooked on. He put a concrete culvert on the inside of it and bricked around the culvert. It has steel plate that runs the length of the pit to disperse the heat evenly. I am really considering doing one like this at my house.
