I was walking up to the house yesterday after getting off of work when something got my attention out the corner of my eye. I looked down and saw this.

The real story is that a buddy of mine found this fawn the other day half starved in some brush when he was doing some tractor work. Their was a dead doe on the road very close to where this fawn was located. He took it to us and my wife did an outstanding job in getting this fawn to eat. My wife and the fawn became very attached in a short period of time. Yesterday we found an wildlife rehabilitaion center through TPWD just outside of Montgomery and took it to them. It was actually at a ladies house who is a volunteer through TPWD. She nurtures them back to health and when they are able to be on there own, she releases them in an area designated through TPWD where their is no hunting aloud. Pretty darn neat. Here are a couple more pics of the little critter. It was hard for my wife to give it up but we did the right thing.
