I did a search and noticed that several folks use super glue gel. My question would be why gel and how do you get it even on the foot of the vane without getting to much on it? I found some Gorillia brand super glue but it's not gel, will this work just as good?

The gel stays in place on the fletching. It doesn't run. That is a good thing on the AZ EZ. You don't want glue down in the hinges of the arms. I usually leave my arrow in the fletcher for about 15 seconds, remove it and take a wet cotton cloth and run between the vanes. This removes any excess glue before it sets completely.
