    Fletching with CA glue

I did a search and noticed that several folks use super glue gel. My question would be why gel and how do you get it even on the foot of the vane without getting to much on it? I found some Gorillia brand super glue but it's not gel, will this work just as good?

I think the gel does not flow as much and run from under the fletching all over the shaft like pure CA does. I've used the gel in the past, then switched to Bohning Platinum Plus glue and keep using it because it works, and drys rapidly.

The non gel will make your shaft look chalky everywhere it runs outside of the vanes bonding edge.

The excess gel can be wiped away while it is drying- a lot less mess.

I use Loc-Tite Super Glue Control Gel. since its a gel it is very easy to control the amount you apply AND where it goes. I have had great results with it. The only adhesive I like better is fletching tape when I'm doing feathers.

The gel stays in place on the fletching. It doesn't run. That is a good thing on the AZ EZ. You don't want glue down in the hinges of the arms. I usually leave my arrow in the fletcher for about 15 seconds, remove it and take a wet cotton cloth and run between the vanes. This removes any excess glue before it sets completely.

No no no. Ca glue will make your arrow turn limp and the fletchings will friz out worse than a fluflu! Using it will make your arras fly funny
