    Any flashlight experts

Does anyone have experience with ther Fenix brand of flashlight. They seem to offer more for the money then Surefire. I had a Suefire that worked well, it just ate batteries too quickly. Both brands in the LED format will now run longer, at lower settings, and have rechargable batteries. Any input is appreciated, especially from those in the military or law enforcement.

    thanks

Don't know anything about Fenix, but love my Surefire's. Carry a rechargeable Stinger and have an X200 (LED) mounted on my duty gun. Go with the rechargeables and you rarely have to worry about battery life.

Terry, i have the PD20 (or something like that) with the Cree upgrade and it is a great flashlight. I also have a surefire Nitrolon and the Fenix is much whiter light and much brighter. I'm thinking about getting another one for backup...

I would not buy a Chinese flashlight with a limited warranty . I have used more that a few Surefires and would buy Surefire just because of the warrenty..

Try the Pelican 7060 if you want a very good Stinger sized light and the Pelican 8060 if you want a full size.

They are both two of the brightest lights on the market, they are rechargeable and have a single LED. I have used both on patrol and they are very durable and extremely bright. They have a prefocused beam as good as any on the market. I can light up the side of a house about two blocks away with the 8060. They come with a lifetime warranty except for the battery.

I have the Inova T4, just about every Stinger or Streamlight ever made, a couple of Surefires and a few other lights. The 7060 and 8060 blow them all away. I'm not knocking the quality of some of the other lights, just from my experience, the new Pelicans are the tops right now for the money. I've let other officers on the night shift borrow my lights to try them out on patrol and there is now a request by all of them to change that to our issue lights instead of the Streamlight products (SL20X, Stingers, etc.).

take a look at the Inova Bolt. I have 2 and love them and they don't cost near what my surefire did

I ordered the PD30 on Monday because of the 220 lumens.. Should be here soon.. I'll be using it on my duty gear (in cop school)..

If you email them ask to demo one. They sold me a new one plus all of the assessories available for $60.. (the PD30)

I like the NOVATAC..If you have some cash I highly recommend it.

I also have the Pelican 8060 which is a GREAT light but too big for what I want to carry on my belt..
