What video camera have you guys found to be good for hunting -- remote -- hold on devices etc.

Eddie, there are a lot of smaller camera's that will get the job done. I started with a Canon Gl-2 until the HD era. I use the Hunter Cam Cradle tree arm, which is a little excessive, but I'm usually just running he cam and not trying to hunt as well. Might check out the video section on here, as there is a lot of good info.

For a do it yourselfer,in that price range..I would probally just start with a sony handycam or something along those lines.I started with one,and for filming yourself it will work just fine.as for camera arm,I would go with the primos arm.you should be able to stay in your price range with that.

I have a JVC Model GR-D27OU, Mini DV, live Slow-MO, 25X Optical Zoom, remote, paid about $250.00 for it. Works great.
I wish the Mini DV tapes were longer and the batteries lasted longer, but you get what you pay for.
I found it just now on Amazon.com for $240.00.
I recommend the clip that Shockvalue had in Quebec, but I can't remember the website.
