To sell or not to sell? Pistol gurus need your help!

I had a phone call today from a good frind of mine that knows someone that wants to buy a pistol from me. It is a Kimber TLE/RL 2 CUSTOM with match grade trigger and utility rail and 4" barrel. I love ths thing! (mainly because of the tactical look to it and the streamlight that is mounted on the utility rail). It shoots like a dream and I bought it from a one owner and is not registerd to me (so if hillary makes it to office etc...)

The delima is I would realy like to rig out the perfect sniper rifle for predator hunting. Thinking along the lines of a 22-250 or 222 swift with a night vision scope and harris bipod. Maybe a fajin thumbhole stock. The only way my wife is going to let me buy one is to sell one of my current guns.

I am not sure which one I would rather have, my Kimber or a new rifle. How much do you think the kimber is worth? Would you sell it?

Thanks for any opinions and leting vent.

I would get rid of it for the rifle.... the only reason i say this though is because i am trying to do the same thing. on the other hand thats a fine pistol!!!!

    whats the situation with hilary???

Man, I don't know. That Kimber is a NICE pistol. I don't know what it's worth but based on what you were saying you wanted to build in the varmint rifle, it ain't worth as much as that rigs gonna cost.

          LOL!!!!!!! I agree with Mikey!!LOL!!

Look on kimbers website and get a idea of what its worth, some are worth in the 1500-2000 range and some are lower...just depends on what all has been done to it...

WCB as much as I love my guns... and believe me i love my guns... I love my wife more. I hope she doesnt read this. I have her fooled for now. I was dumb enough to make a deal with her a while back. There was a Para Ordnance that I wanted realy bad one day and the only way I could buy it was to agree to not talk about buying another gun for one full year. That will be up in april. Stupid me. Just living in the moment I guess.

I probably have too many guns as it is anyways. Two bows, 8 pistols and 7 rifles. I have had it pretty good I guess. What an expensive hobby.

Rifles are exspensive hobby also, I had a Robar SR-90 308. with a MK4 Leupold on it, harris L-m bipod..total we had over 5200.00 invested in it..

Now I'm working on a Remington 308. PSS

I love me some pistols, but give me a long gun, rifle or shotgun, over a pistol anyday of the week. Especially a fine shotgun.....

Ruger has a new Mini 14 that shoots a Min of angle at 100 yards short sturdy fast light and deadly accurate out of the box .,. they redid the whole rifle and it a tack driver
see your old rifle but the Ruger Mini 14 tack driver. Shoots like a Kimber they say

                    TINK

Its perfect car/truck carry gun as well

To think you have too many guns is blasphemy .

I would sell the pistol and go for the long gun. Check gunbroker and auctionarms to get a feel for what they are trading for used.

I recently rigged out a varmint machine and it a blast to shoot. I picked up a Bushmaster with a 24" free floated heavy barrel, two stage trigger, match upper and added a Harris bi-pod and a 5.5 - 16x Nikon Monarch. It is a tack driving machine with 50 grn Hornady V-Max bullets...plus, if I want to make a "play gun" all I have to do is pick up a carbine upper and switch the uppers and I am in business...just a thought sine you are still in the planning stages.

                          I couldn't agree more, Jaspro!

                          You want t a varmit/sniper rifle? Yep.
Can you shoot varmits with your pistola? ... That's your answer!

Personally, I only buy ... and never sell, but that's just me.

if you have 8 pistols get rid of the one or two of the other one's. i would never give up a kimber. With a good gun (i would get an ar-15 if i were you) plus gen2 night vision you are going to spend at least 3000. you might as well get rid of a couple of the lower grade guns you have.
