Dryer vent booster fan - thoughts/recommendations?

Anyone installed one? There seems to a variety of options and pricing is all over the place. I cleaned the entire duct system 4-6 months ago. It is well over 30ft. Terrible design. I'd love to reroute, but that's not really an option based on location and other factors. A booster fan seems like a no brainier. Thoughts? Recommendations?

    Thanks.

How much stuff came out when you cleaned it? If it was a lot, that fan will cause problems quicker. You can always looks at a condenser dryer if its a big issue.

It wasn't 100% clogged. We got a new dryer 3-4 months ago. The vent goes to the roof (2 stories) and it isn't a straight shot, so it has some length to it.

Why would the booster fan cause problems rather than help? I know nothing about them so this is an honest question. Thanks.

I don't know what issues it may or may not cause.

        Here's what I see as a possibility
Fan gets stopped up by lint, lint gets got and poof fire

I agree more obstruction fan or not is not a good thing. I'd just make it part of a routine maintenance. Put a leaf blower on it quarterly.

I had a similar problem with a house that had the dryer vented up into the attic. laundry room was in center of the house and no way to vent to an outside wall without a chase, which should have been done when the house was built. Poor construction design. I installed a booster and extended the vent line to the soffit. I still had to clean out the hose where it connected to the dryer as lint would settle back down and stack up. Might have undersized the booster or maybe they just don't work well in that long of a vertical application? Still kept the moisture out of the attic so it wasn't a total waste.

My dad has a booster on his and no issues. Installed it in the wall and have an access panel to it to periodically clean.
I would bet almost all houses now are not built to code regarding length of dryer vent pipe, and every bend or 9 cuts the length allowed.

We had them in fire station, what a S show.....why not just put the laundry room on the outside walls and vent right outside. Laundry room right in the middle going up and across attic to the outside......engineers got it figured out though......same people that put water heaters in attics....
