    Africa 2009

Well i just back from a fabulous bow hunt in Thambizi South Africa with Badger Bush Lodge. I was worried at first upon arrival due to the late rains and full moon, but i still managed a successful hunt. I have put photos in my public photo album for anyone to see. I am already planing my trip back.

Man, those are some great photos.

Looks like the rains and moon did not effect your hunt a bit!

          Floyd,

Great pics and congrats on the animals. I am so excited now that I've seen your pics. My Wife and I will be there in August. Did you see any zebra or kudu? I plan on a blue wildebeast, warthog and impala plus a zebra and kudu.

The camrea was a Nikon D-90. You will see plenty of Kudu and Zebra. on one day i passed on 12 kudu bulls at one water hole alone. I already have 57 3/4" so i was looking only for better. I saw 48"-54". I wasnt interested in a zebra so i passed on them.

Cajun Blake, i totally agree with you on the Nyala (he will be a full mount) some people thought the pict with the arrow mid air and sideways was a miss, it wasn't. It was a complete pass thru and hit the concrete water trough and was bouncing back. For those going, badger has access to 110,000 acres so you will not suffer for game or the same spot everyday. It may look like i only hunted one spot but i killed 3 animals in one day at that spot, then moved on to different ones and different properties every day. You will be waited on hand and foot while you are there. Your wives will love it there, they can ask my sister about it if they want. I had just bought the camera (spelled it right this time) a week before going so i was just learning on it. I still took 900 picts.

Wow, very nice pics and super nice trophies. Nothing like South Africa for a great bowhunt. I like Landrover can't wait until I go again, Sept 2010 isn't that far away. Just found out today that my trophies from this past Sept in South Africa are on their way from Coppersmith's in Dallas to my taxidermists. Can't wait to get my hands on them.

Again, a big congrats on a super hunt and super trophies.
