    Weed eater brush cutting blade

Anyone use one to clean up feed pens? I have 10 or 11 feed pens I need to clean up in a few weeks and I’m not wanting to keep restringing my weed eater all day. I’ve got a husqvarna weed eater and don’t know anything about these blades. It’s mostly mixed grasses and sticker burrs. A few oak seedlings and thicker weed stems in some of them

I mow mine with a zero turn or shredder. Your way sounds too much like work.

I use one all the time. Looks like a big saw blade.

See if you can find this type of line in the pic. This .155 size is for brush hog type mowers so obviously look for the size required for your weed eater.

Funny you posted this today....I, not 3 hours ago, went to my parents with my 15 yr old in tow and put this head on my dads Husqavarna weed whacker to take care of the heavy-ish brush and sticker bushes out from the fence line going into the pasture and weaning pen.
I personally sat with the old man and drank cold beer while the boy did the heavy work. It seemed to work well and Ethan said those things ( the new blades) are a beast

I use a triangular blade on my weedeater. Cuts brush and thick grass good.

Can you put a Beaver blade on a weedeater? They're awesome on a DR trimmer

              edit: looks like a yes

My dad uses those heads for brush trimming a lot and swears by them. I'm not as big a fan and can cut more and faster with a pole hedge trimmer, so that's what I use for small brush and tall/thick grass.

I have a Stihl and use the saw blade that has about ten round cut-outs around the perimeter. Great for small cedar and mesquite up to about an inch o.d.

This is what I use. The chainsaw teeth are a lot less likely to kick back like a table saw blade or the triangle blades. I think they come in 9" or 7" diameter.

I bought a Grass Gator for my Huska many years ago (2008?). Great for heavy grass and light brush. It has metal blades. Looks like they only offer nylon blades now.

I've used a Stihl brush knife for this weeds, heavy brush, and small saplings.. on a commercial trimmer that thing is a beast!

Spray it with chemical. Spray ours once a year and don’t have to worry about it.

Check out Amazon for the circular type blades with carbide teeth. They are awesome on grass and brush up to 3”. Just be aware that you will find pieces of wire and metal you didn’t know were there.
