Bucees EZ Feeder Troubleshooting Advice please

Got 3, 1 yr old 600# EZ Feeders. 2 not spinning.

    Battery and fuses are good.
    Spinner not jammed.
    Timmer appears to be working.

When test is run, counts down as normal but when you expect it to spin all functions on timer light up then it goes to Ready mode.

    Anyone ever have this issue?

    Thanks.

Motor bad? Seems unlikely in 2 feeders but possible

Would be my guess. Jump your motor to test it straight off the battery

If the motor runs, refer back to the timer. If you have a volt meter, check voltage at the timer in “test” and see if it’s sending signal.

Thanks for the responses so far. Will take timer from the one working and see what that tells us.

You can test the batter or the see if power is going to the motor.

Just based on my experience with them, the timer on them is trash. It will start doing weird stuff and leave you high and dry. You have to just trash it and put The Timer or some thing simular on them.

Thanks for all the input. Luckily got them both working. Dead battery on one even though showing full bars on the timer. Other needed a reset it had really loose terminal connections. 3 replacements with The Timer's ordered just now.

So it wasn't the timers and your are replacing all the timers anyway? I've had good luck with the All Seasons timer. I prefer them on my timed protein so I can use the low/med/high spinner control. I do like the Timers as well but use both.

I will let them all run until they quit. I have e always keep extra timers and motors on deck and was down to only one timer and don't have any of the motors for these so will get at.least one if not two for backups. It's 4 hours to the farm ba k home and can't stand to leave with things not working and no option to get any locally.

Ahhh that makes more sense! Hopefully those Timers collect dust for many years .[emoji12]

Agree on the All Seasons. Good feeders all around

The good thing about these feeders is that they are easy to troubleshoot. Like others have said, do the following:
                          1. Test out battery and make sure the timer shows 12V on the screen and shows that your battery is full. You can also use a voltmeter.
                          2. If the battery is good, Unplug the timer and jump the motor straight to the battery. If the spinner plate spins, then you know the motor is good. If it doesn’t, your problem is the motor or a clogged spinner plate.
                          3. If the spinner plate spins on step 2, I would then look at the timer. Remove the fuse, check and make sure it’s not blown and clean the fuse contacts to ensure there is no corrosion.

Please shoot me a text at 817-437-1373 and I’d be happy to help troubleshoot the problem. I know they aren’t our feeders but I’m certain I can help you get your issue fixed. Have a great day!

Not trying to be a wise guy, but , buy “the timer” next time.

The All Season feeder from Bucees in question comes with the All Seasons timer stock. He didn't have a choice if he wanted that feeder. He'd have had to pay full price for the feeder/timer combo and an extra $70+ each feeder at the time of purchase to get the Timer like you suggested. And considering the ASF timers weren't the issue here, he had spent an extra $210 ($70x3) to do what you suggested for what ended up being a bad battery and a bad connection....right? See post 8.
