    Redneck engineering help needed

I am looking for a way to put an 800 pound Capri camper in and out of a truck bed without jacks or a forklift and not destroying it.

    What are your ideas?

Does it have wheels? Ramps? We need pics

Id pitch for a cable hoist. Got it in a pole barn with a purlin straight above? Could yoke around the outside corners on the upper part and crank up/down.

Snatch block attached to an over head beam. Cheap 12volt winch. A couple of straps. No big deal.

I have owned truck campers for years and without jacks on each corner you are looking at a disaster waiting to happen.
I would not even attempt it without jacks unless you had an overhead hoist and could somehow get straps underneath it.

Seems you'd have to fab up some stout rings on the corners where the jacks would normally be mounted. Overhead hoist with straps down to rings. I'm thinking similar to some boat lifts I've seen.

Couple endless slings, some good Crosby shackles, and a HF badlands winch, chain hoist, etc..

6-8 friends. Offer them free beer.

I’ve got a set of tripod jacks for my Capri at my parents place in Denton. You’re welcome to borrow them as long as I get them back. I’ve loaded a Capri without jacks or forks once and it sucked. It was on a small trailer and we backed the pickup up to it, jacked the camper up enough to get some 4x4’s under it and then used 4” ratchet straps to slide it up the 4x4 ramps into the bed. I would not recommend it.

My boy found one for sale. It didn't have jacks.

I'm not sure my barn is strong enough to hold it.

Go buy the jacks if you are going to need them anyway?

Or borrow the pair offered above and return them with a thanks of some kind

Off Road jacks are the bomb. I bought one to Jack the bed on my Siverado to install a new fue pump. You need 2 to load that camper I suppose
