Anyone bought a Tahoe recently? Any Chevy salesmen on here?

I'm thinking about swapping some cars around and am looking at a new Tahoe for the Mrs. Sales prices are stupid but the trade-in prices are too. Wondering if the inventory was as tight as the first guy I spoke with said it is.

I would just say DONT. Seems they (chevy) are having tons of issues with their 1500 trucks and tahoe/suburbans. My friend just got a tahoe two months ago and last week it shut down on her on the way home. took it to the dealer and they told her there is a part that is backordered that will fix the problem, but it may be a year before they get it. tilll then it may continue to shut down.

My good friend has a 2022 Silverado and is STILL waiting on chips for heated seats and a few other things. Vehicle is over a year old. I want a new vehicle also. But seeing things like that is making me lean towards three year old trucks with warranties.

We bought my wife a 2021 a 1 1/2 ago from James Woods in Decatur. This is the 3rd Tahoe we have bought from them through the years. We did have to pay MSRP for the 2021 though. It has 39K miles on it now with zero issues.
Our salesman was Justin and he made it easy. Mostly done over the phone/email. We just let him know what we were looking for and he called us when something close rolled in on the truck (white Z71 with middle captain chairs and middle video screens).

Bought one about a year ago from Capital in Austin. Took it to Louisiana the first week we had it and it died on us three times at stop signs/red lights. Started back up each time and we made it home. It never did it again and we took it all the way to Colorado and back without any problems. Then with less than 20k miles we had a lifter collapse. It was repaired under warranty but they only replace them on the one side with the bad lifter. A couple times the radio wouldn't come on for a few hours then it would just start working again, and we have had a few lights come on on the dash and then just go off. When we bought it we actually went to get a different one but it was sold before we got there and the one we ended up buying was the only one available. They told us if we didn't want it that it was fine and they knew it would be sold within a day.

Just a FYI, Tahoe's will have a significant price increase for new 2024's. We are having at least an $11,000 price increase on our PPV Tahoe's this coming up year. If we are having them, that means everybody else will too. My advice would to buy now or buy used.

Its stupid... We have been looking for a suburban but i think we will just wait or go back to a truck like the wife really wants. Prices dont scare me as much as all the issues. Im sick and tired of electrical issues and i hear they are having issues with the new ones. After owning a tahoe they are really kind of useless.. The 3rd seat is great if and when you need it. But then you have virtually zero room in the back. And on long road trips you dont have enough room really even then with the seat down. Wife and i agreed she liked it better when she had her truck with the bed cover on it.

I too would not recommend getting one. We purchased a Yukon In March of 2022 and we are still waiting on microchips. I think it’s pretty sorry of GMC to charge for accessories that are not on the vehicle when sold. Then the continue to make BS excuses why they still do not have them when they are selling 2023 models with the same microchips they say they cannot get for all the 22 models that already sold.
