    Anyone know what this is or want to take a guess? Never seen one before and it looks wicked

      I think that's a camel cricket. Used to have them around my old place. Alien looking critters.

                          I've always known them as Cave Crickets.

                          Google says Cave Crickets are the same as Camel Crickets. These things are all over in the hill country anywhere that is shaded and damp.

                              Camel crickets are probably the closest thing so far but not a single image on google or anywhere shows spikes on the legs like this one had. All of their hind legs seem relatively smooth… this dude today has straight up spurs
