I’d guess when you find your Plan B don’t post up the hero shots all over the internet. No telling how many KS threads there were last yr. Funny how people crying that they didn’t get drawn will never realize it was self inflicted- for the large majority anyhow. Can’t help but start posting soon as an arrow/shot is released.

KS was amazing 10 years ago.
The last time i hunted there(2020), I saw 7 deer in 10 days.
it was terrible.
It got worse and worse every year.
There was a drought back around 2011-2013ish and that hurt the deer pop.
Most of the state is in a worse drought now.
KS will NEVER be what is used to be unless KS Dept of Wildlife & Parks makes changes in favor of the deer pop. Such as limiting tag #s. Iowa is doing a wonderful job managing their deer pop.
Also, if people would stop shooting deer just to say that they killed a KS deer.
I have tracked draw stats since 2016 and the #s increase every year.

Keep in mind that draw odds can fluctuate from year to year based on factors such as population management goals, hunting pressure, and available permits. It's important to review the most recent information provided by the KDWPT to make informed decisions about applying for deer hunting permits in Kansas.

My last deer hunt up there was 2017 I think. The decline started around 2010 or 11. My first 5 years, I saw several bucks pushing 200 inches. Just never got close enough for a shot on one of those. Just not the same anymore.
