Can someone estimate replacement cost on this metal building?

Insurance asked me what replacement value on this was. I said 200k. Is that right or wrong? It’s 50x50. I’m sure someone here can give me a good guesstimate.

Just the shell for $80 a sf/ft. Did the ins company give you a replacement cost per ft?

I guess if it burns down the slab is ok? So just the shell?

Just shell, probably in the $60k range, $70k tops. Been pricing metal buildings recently. I bet I'm not far off. 30x40 basic is around $30-35k.

60k with the stone work and insulation? There’s no way.

So the concrete is worth 140k? I have no idea about the pricing, but curious, as I intend to build one myself in near future. I have no clue what it will cost me. But figured 60-70k for something similar. Problem is I’ll start to get too into it and end up w a second home/man cave, and be out 200k lol. Lfg stars though!!!

Well hopefully you’re not in Brazos County. Appraisal district would say it’s worth $500K.

Just the building, erected with no concrete replacement would be around $85,000. Depending on plumbing & electrical work, it could easily be $100k plus. There will also be costs involved to demo/scrap existing building if it were severely damaged.

i was just quoted $37,500 for the slab, for my shop, after I cleared the land, and brought in 180 yards of base, packed and leveled it, and have most of the rebar. That's a 50X60 shop. I see you have a covered extension off the front, I would guess another 10 ft. of concrete at least.

As for the building, I was quoted $26,500 for the steel last year. That's no doors, no electrical, no labor to put up the building. I could see $100,000 being possible for everything, to complete it. Possibly upwards of $120,000 to to clear the land, base, and putting the base down. Your place is nice and flat, so you would not need near as much base as I used.

Rates are likely different in your area, than where we are, by how much I don't know. California rates seem to be the rates for where we are. With all of the people moving here from California, construction costs have gone way up.

If they agree to 200k I would be plenty comfortable.

I’m looking at about $40k for a 24x30 bolt up, spray foam insulated. That roughly include plumbing for 1 sink, and wash out drain and basic electrical. Ill have a much longer concrete pad as I’ll have to extend my drive and adding a flat work pad for a dog run and fire pit
