    Killing Willow Trees

I need to kill some willows around my tank before they get too big. What do you use and what mixture ratio?

Pretty sure remedy and diesel will work, but hoping there’s a cheaper alternative.

1.5 ounces of Polaris herbicide per gallon of water should kill them, make sure you spray the very tip top of them not just the lower leafs.

Remedy will kill all woody plants/trees as long as they have leaves to spray it on

I’d use Garlon3a or another triclopyr amine near your tanks instead of remedy&diesel. Cut down or girdle a ring around the trunk and spray the cut surface. Use it straight or mix with up to 50% water if on a budget.

                  Ring them.

Then plant a tree you want that you could hunt from.

Cut them and spray the stump with 1 part Garlon 3 parts diesel. Or of they're small enough just basal spray them with that same mix. If the bark is smooth they're small enough for the basal spray only.

These work extremely well, just don't use close to trees you want to keep.

Nuisance trees causing problems? Pronone Power Pellets can treat invasive vegetation like Mesquite and Red Cedar with a single application. Power Pellets can also assist with site preparation and stimulate growth in pine and other coniferous plantations.
