K Bobs is Horrible. I really like tacos OJ. I eat there every time I’m in town.

Best restaurant in Ft. Stockton has to be Mi Casita. The Chili Verde plate is dang good. I usually opt for their enchiladas with fried egg on top. Can't go wrong.

Whatever you do do not stop at Chuys in Van Horn. Some of the worst "Mexican" food I have ever had.

Poor John Madden had no clue what great Tex/Mex was based my similar experience. I would have been better off eating at McDonald’s in Fort Stockton or pressing on and getting a steak at Cattleman’s Steakhouse in Fabens.

That's right. I forgot about the huge John Madden shrine inside Chuy's. That place is a trash can.

I've eaten at Mi Casita a few times, and it was enjoyable.

Best Dairy Queen in the country is in Fort Stockton. I went there on the way back from a multi day camping trip in Big Bend and the steak finger basket and blizzard I had was one of my most enjoyable meals ever. Nice change from eating freeze dried camp food for 4 straight days.

I've always enjoyed a good charbroiled burger from Carl's Jr there at the Love's Truckstop on the east side of town

I'll give a third thumbs up for Mi Casita. Only tried K-Bob's once, and was disappointed. Whatever you do, avoid the Taco Bell/KFC at all cost. It's the worst. Some oil field workers recommended Tacos OJ so we tried it once, but I thought it was just OK.
