Airlift 5000s on my '20 Tundra. I keep them at 5 lbs when not hauling a load in the bed. They feel just like it did when it was stock to me. When I have them at 30-40 lbs without a load on the way to the feed store they have a little bounce....but when I do get the bed loaded down with corn or protein it runs great and there is no squatting. 30-36 bags is the norm and it stays level.. I also haul a 16' trailer loaded down with 650 gallons of water over our rocky terrain and hills, and they shine there too. I highly recommend them. Starting year 3 with mine.

I've put three sets on for friends in the last few months.
You won’t notice any difference empty on a 1 ton because of the overloads.

The reason the person above is experiencing bottoming out even when the bags are empty is because some bags have a built in bump stop. I would suggest staying away from that style on a half ton. Airlift has the best pumps, but there are several companies that make mounts and bags so you can mix and match. I need to get a system on my wife's new F150 as we pull a heavy boat with it during the summer. The fancier you go the more you spend. The bluetooth Airlift system is nice but it's dang expensive.
