the plastic roofs are two pieces on the fxt so that you can dump the bed in converted mode. 1out 20 will blow off. With that said first chance you can get a metal roof i would. I glass from my fortress brand a lot and its quieter and cooler

Fortress windshields are awesome too. A hood scope is a game changer as well. Makes it much cooler in the summer.

I’ve been towing my pro fxt for years - 75 on the highway - no problem.

If you haul it on a ten foot trailer, load it backwards.

I gots a 16' trailer I would use. Just trying to decide to fork over all the money at once in lieu of the 1.9% interest Kawasaki is doing.

I tow my pro fxt all the time. Last year, I lost the back part of the roof somewhere between Del Rio and Sanderson. The pins in the hinge for the back section will slide out. I caught it a couple of times and put them back in.

No problem trailering our mule but it has a windshield. Probably helps a little.

My plastic roof is on the side of the highway somewhere between Victoria and Corpus. I bought a metal fortress roof and haven’t had a problem since.

I have a 2017 Mule Pro FXT I bought a couple of years ago and it has the stock plastic roof but it does have a full fold down windshield. The previous owner cautioned me about trailering being sure the windshield was up and not folded down. He didn't say anything about the roof and I have trailered it maybe 10-12 times 350 miles at a time with no problems.

I have heard of some people having an issue and ran a strap around the roof. Seems like a quick and easy fix.

those that are running straps... are they side to side, one in front one in back or a couple going front to back?

There’s a small channel for water at the back of the flip up section of roof. I run a strap side to side in that channel back to the cage.

Never had an issue with mine and have towed it many times.
