    Belly Band For Concealed Carry

Is anyone using a belly band holster for concealed carry?

I am looking for a good option for IWB concealed carry with shirt tucked. I have a cross breed but personally don't care for it.

I am not sure I would like a belly band around my mid section but was wondering if there is one that could be worn a little lower on the waist that would allow the weapon to ride inside my waist band.

If anyone has any experience a belly band holsters I would like to get your thoughts and opinions.

I don't have any experience yet but I have a belly band and holster for myself and wife on the way. I watched a bunch of reviews and videos. Going to try sticky holster first. I have to find something my wife will wear while running and I need something that conceals while wearing scrubs and summer type clothes.

I bought one of the VNSH band holsters thinking i might use it when i wear gym shorts but so far haven't found myself reaching for it. Typically i just pull my drawstring tight and slide a kydex holster in and it's comfortable enough and secure enough for me.

Not a fan of belly bans personally. Just too much going on. I recently tried this belt and really like it for the purpose you want something for. It works well for carrying with gym shorts as well.

Basically works just like a normal belt but you wear it under your pants/clothes. Allows you to use your regular favorite holster in whatever position you want to carry. Stays put pretty dang well.

I tried a couple of different belly bands and both were terrible for me. Maybe too much belly…

I hated the feel of the bands with the elastic/stretch. I probably look like I had a nervous tic while trying to get comfortable with them. Some people might love them though.

I don’t usually worry about tucking in my shirt but the holster that doesn’t bother me if I do (and certainly other people might hate) is the Smartcarry or one of its clones.

It is kind of belly band-ish but the holster hangs below the belt. Think of it as a 1.5” nylon belt but instead of going through belt loops, it’s against your body like the belly band but not nearly so restrictive. It’s kind of like wearing a nail apron beneath your clothes but instead of nail pouches, it’s a holster.

The difference between it and classic belly band holsters is that the holster itself is below the belt and not strapped to the belt at the same level.

They both work but I could not get used to the other inside the clothes belly band holsters.

I love mine! I can wear a professional ladies suit and no one knows. It is very comfortable. My only complaint is the company I bought mine from only makes 2 sizes - small/ medium and large/ extra large. The small is a tad bit too big for me.

I was in Laredo with co workers and after supper we went next door to the indoor gun range. We rented guns to shoot. We shared a shooting room and the man who worked there asked if any of us had a CC gun on us. I said yes. He and my coworkers looked stunned. No way! I was wearing a knee length skirt, light blouse and dark pinkish red jacket that only had 2 buttons so it was v cut to my tummy. I lifted that jacket and they were all blown away by it. I can carry my 380 or any of my full sized 1911 style semi autos.

Love it! Downside - the band is black so wearing a light colored blouse is out. Also, if I want to wear something that tucks in, it become impracticable to wear.

Went to their website and am very intrigued by the Sticky Holster. As a woman who rarely runs but constantly wears running shorts or leggings, carrying in the waist with a clip holster--even a small one--is a challenge with fabrics that have very little "authority." If the gun isn't pulling these garments down, it still tugs on them causing the gun to jiggle when you run. Very annoying.

I'll be curious to know how your wife likes the sticky holster and whether or not it behaves any differently than a clip holster.

My EDC is a pocket Sticky. It's just like a wallet in my pocket. Biggest thing I can carry comfortably without printing badly though is a Walther PPK/s 380... Not much but better'n nothing. For a bit more beef, IWB with a compact CZ 40 S&W or Para Carry LDA 45 ACP...

I carry using a belly band. It works great for me, BUT I bought 2 different types. I cannot remember the brand, but the one I like the best has started "un-velcroing" itself. Very awkward when out in public.

I run alot, so I am pretty slim, the belly band makes me look like I have a belly. Funny, but it causes people to ignore me more. Love it!

I bought her the belly band for the sticky holster. I think the holster slides in to the band and then the band wraps around it. I'll try to give a follow up.

If you spared no expense and found a belly band that somehow made your a** look like it did when you were 20, I bet they’d start staring again.

                        Just my two cents.

I used a belly band for several years and it worked well for me as long as I kept the hook & loop of the Velcro aligned. If it was slightly misaligned then the Velcro would rub me raw.
Then I discovered compression tee shirts with the holster built in. Never wore the belly band again.
Now I’m too fat for either one so I just wear my shirt untucked with my pistol on my belt.
                          Old man evolution.

For all of you that carry appendix how do you get used to your gun poking you everytime you sit down or bend over. I have tried and and it is very uncomfortable. I am very intrigued by the pHlster enigma holster system above.
