I had same, about 6 years ago. Tore the tendon off the bone. Surgeon went in, fished it between the radius and ulna, reattached. Recovery didn't take too long. Haven't had any issues with it since.

Had decided to ride with it the way it is until the MRI. there was some of the tendon that was still let attached to the bone and that was likely to cause some issues down the road.

Going in Friday to reattach and fix a small tear in the Rotator..

Gonna be cutting it close for my Elk hunt at the end of September, but my surgeon (a hunter himself) assures me he will have me ready in plenty of time...

Not torn, but had one head of the 2 biceps tendons cut completely by a bone spur on the top of my rotator cuff. They could not reattach due to too much scar tissue built up on the cut tendon. Now I have what they call a Popeye bicep along with 4 anchors in my left shoulder.

I tore mine a few years ago, the kids across the room heard it pop. I let it heal naturally and it still bothers me.

I ripped both upper tendons on my left bicep from the bone two years ago.. Now have 2 bone anchors holding it together. Full recovery was about a year for me.
I still don’t fully trust it.

I tore my bicep tendon down by the elbow Sept 2021. Went in a couple days later for MRI and it confirmed it was torn. I decided not to get the surgery since it all depends how tight the tendon gets attached back. You either get an arm sling like a broken arm or you get one of the ones that has restrictive movements where you can set the angles so the tendon can get stretched back out over time. I just couldn’t get over having to be in a sling for a few months to almost six months and then rehabbing for a few more months all while the rest of the arm and shoulder could atrophy.

I do have some movements that suck since not having the supination to do that stuff like fishing and using a screw driver. I guess that’s why they make power drills. Trying to hold stuff in my left arm gets tiring quicker since I don’t have the bicep to help out. I just power through and when it gets tired I switch to the right arm.

The worst part was the MRI and having to be put in that tube where your shoulder is above your head while laying down. I hurt for two days having to have that done. Also, I wish they could’ve put me in the larger machine as I barely fit in the regular one.

I tore mine in 2006 and never went to the doctor. Healed just fine.
