    sprayer help .

I’m getting ready to upgrade the pump on my spray rig . Pump I have now just ain’t cutting it . I think it’s a 1.2 gpm . I’m wanting something I can run a boomless sprayer with . What size pump do y’all recommend?

    ATV sized?

Check prices, may be cheaper to buy a new sprayer than the pump

I would look for 2.5-3gpm for boomless.
I have zero experience, just time spent researching building one for my ATV sprayer and most heads are listed for that size pump

      It’s a 40 gallon tank I believe. That’s how I ended up with this small pump . Bought a new rig instead of a pump . I can get a 2.4 for about a 100 bucks and a 4.5 for about 150 .

I have a 26 gallon tank with 2.2 gpm. It's ok but closer to 4 GPM would be great.

That’s the way I’m probably going to go with .

4 gpm is really where you need to be. I think TSC has some. Of course im sure anywhere online will have them.

I have a 2.2 and think it is plenty of volume.

If my math is correct, 4GMP pump has like 6.5 minutes of run time on a 26 gallon tank? Hardly seems worth the effort for such a small tank.

That's what the pump is rated for but nozzles don't allow for that type of flow.

                        40 gallon = 4 gpm+

We went with Fimco HiFlo Pro series 4 gpm.on our 20 gal tanks.

Most of those garden variety boomless nozzles only put out about 1.2-2 gpm (at 40-60 psi). I’ve run a few of them with 2.2gpm pumps without issue. Anything over 3gpm is just overkill, unless you like spending money.

Valley even states these run fine with 2gpm pumps.

Very good point, we use agricultural grade nozzles that are rate appropriately. Not sure of the exact as our residential sugar can farmer brings those lol

Personally we thought boomless sprayers sucked..... we made our own smaller booms, width based on vehicle its on and use high quality nozzles.
