Went down to Brownsville on 2/6/23 and hunted with JG Arvelo off the FB Nilgai page. It was a thermal hunt and used his rifle, .308 Savage. He was first class all the way. Very inexpensive hunt. Sent me pictures from checking his gun for zero the day of hunt. We hunted farm land between the border fence and the Rio Grande. Saw 4-5 bulls before this one was walking right towards us on a plowed field. JG first spotted him at 160 yds. and we let him get to 60 yds. the .308 dumped him without taking a step with a shot to center mass of chest. This was a great hunt and the table fare is unbelievable!! I will be going back to fill my freezer, get another trophy and make another memory next spring for sure!
Nice bull. That thing is scarred up. I wonder how he got those scars, mainly that long horizontal one?
