    Mecum Auctions Questions

Lease runs out on my truck in a few months and with the prices of "new" trucks, thought I might watch a couple of the Mecum auctions to see if I could find something. Outside of physically seeing the cars first hand, how do you vet out a truck you like? The sellers always show a "new crate motor" but what about transmission, etc.?

Love to hear if anyone has any first hand experience buying/selling through an auction like this.

I’ve had the same thought, but buying something expensive that you can’t test drives scares the bejesus out of me

Exactly!! Don’t want to buy a money pit.

My cousin just sold this one at Mecum's last week. It did reach his reserve.

          My take on auctions.
They are either grossly over priced, or a hodgepodge mix match parts that people want to dump on unsuspecting people.
