Thought I would share some pictures of my latest project. A set of dog kennels. I had bought the set of kennels that you see in the background from a fellow here on TBH. They do work but on these that I built I decided to do some design enhancements.
Here is the dirt work. I did it with a farm tractor. I then screwed the blocks to that end piece you see so I could side it down the forms and fix any high or low spots.

I had a buddy that had given me a lot of rebar. I actually used it for the slabs of both kennels. I guess they were building bridges because this stuck was way bigger then I needed for a set of kennels....lol.

A hog hunting buddy of mine helping with the concrete. We poured it with the help of a few friends.

There is more slope to it then shows in the picture. The mud was a little wet and we had trouble with the cement sloughing off a little but the dogs do not seem to care.

Son-in-law number 2 did the welding, Son-in-law number 1 assisted. I just cut the steel. I am not a welder....

They started attaching the horse panel and I started putting on the roof.

Put in a couple of test dogs before painting. The young one is an escape artist but even she had to give up trying to get out of these.

I put the dog houses outside of the kennel. It gives them the full 6 X 10 area to move around in and makes it easier to clean.

All painted and finished. Oh and that dog in the last picture is the one that got hurt so bad by the hog. As you can see see she is doing great and is thrilled to be back outside as opposed to living in our laundry room.
Hope y'all enjoy the pictures.
