I've et a bajillion channel cat and crappie caught out of the Trinity just below Lewisville lake dam and Denton creek below Grapevine dam. Guess maybe I should be dead by now.

The main concern is for children and pregnant/nursing women.

A grown man doesn't have much to worry about.

You've seen some of the Pine Island Pillheads that swim in that lake. Every now and then they jump in and forget the meth in the pocket of their cutoffs. Now you got methed up fish.

                    Florida has it worse.
Fisherman are gonna be overdosing from eating redfish lol.

A newly completed study from Florida International University found high amounts of opioids, heart medication and other prescription drugs in redfish throughout the state’s most important estuaries, with Tampa Bay ranked second highest for contaminants in the fish.

I would think for the most part these warnings are ignored and don’t mean much to most folks.

Cook them in grease above 325 degrees and you can see the PCB's jumping out of the pot. You'll be fine.

Nothing but trash fish on those list anyways. Eat crappie and you don’t have to worry about it!
