I really enjoy the kids and all 6 of them seem to like me. One kid in particular is the son (and a twin) of a single mother. He ended up holding my hand walking to the field the other day. Neat experience because he doesn't know me too well, but it just shows how much more of an impact you can have on young, impressionable minds than just how to hit or throw.
Those kids where dad has left home have a broken identity. They are just like every creature born to this earth whereby they learn behavior and necessary life skills from watching dad. And he is not there nowadays in our society. They grow up thinking they are not loved, have little value and never amount to much. Oh how we need more men like Clay who will give there time to help these young men to encourage them and love them like dad should and would have if he had chosen to.

I’ve been coach since coach pitch. He is 12u now. One of the reason we haven’t pushed him to select is so I can keep coaching!! I love it. Don’t want it to end.

I’m not too selfish about the select. He plays a lot of hockey too. If he wants to play select he can.

I coached my daughter in soccer until she went select. I miss it.

Enjoy the time. Sports, hunting and vacations are the best times of my life.

Youngest grandsons first T-ball game was a riot. I haven't laughed that hard in year's!
Note to coach's: Do not take your eyes off the batter when placing the ball on the stand

Funny story. We were between games and decided to try Shuck Me in Southlake for the first time. He has to go to the restroom so we go in there and once we were washing hands, he said, "is that mommy?"
