US Law Shield and Others Comparison

I've been concealing for a long time now but have never bought from one of these programs. I'm betting someone here has even if you haven't had to use it for the intended purpose.

What are your thoughts and how have any interactions gone.

I was first interested in US Law Shield, but then started looking at USCCA. In the 10 years I've concealed I've never had a need for this service so I would have in essence saved about 2-3k in subscription fees, but wholly understand if you need it that 3k will be a drop in the bucket.

I've had US Texas Las Shield for about 5 years now. We do a lot of traveling and I've discussed that with them. We are in New York every year and was told to lock up my pistol while in NY and if there was ever a problem, they would take care of it. To me, it's worth the $300 a year for it. I had USCCA for a while until they they their pricing around.
Either would be a good decision.

Figure the odds and only pull at the very last resort. I'll take my chances without dedicated insurance.

I like to idea of having access and being able ask questions and talk without having to search for an attourney quickly. Such as ATF comes knocking looking for guns, or something other than the advertised services.

I've never had a reason to be concerned before, but with current administration in charge and the change to pistol brace rules, I like the idea I can talk to someone in the event I need understanding.

I belong to Texas Law Shield. It’s insurance just like home and auto to me. I abhor the fact that I need it, but if the crap hits the fan, I’m sure I’ll be glad I have it.

I have the Texas Law Shield. I go to the USCCA show in Ft. Worth when it is in town. I'd use either. I have it because it doesn't cost much, IMHO and I love having a place to go with any questions or in need of help. The legal landscape is constantly changing and we are not legal experts. I believe it to be of some genuine value, though I understand others may disagree.

Same here. Plus you really need to read the fine print on your contract. Many of the policies severely misrepresent what actual coverage is of ever needed.

There was a thread on here years back about Texas Law Shield and how several of the lawyers that were on their retainer list, were active anti firearm.

This right here. Not as good as folks think, but their ads sure sound great.

No experience every using it, and I've heard folks with great and less than great feedback.

I wouldn't bring a pistol to New York. I don't think that locking up there is going to keep you out of trouble. There have been people arrested in New York airports, because they had to change terminals and recheck their guns on the way somewhere else. This is supposed to be against federal law, but they charged them anyway. You may prevail, but it would be one hell of a pain in the ***** whether some carry insurance covers you or not.

I'm with Texas Law Shield- it was one of the requirements of my church to join the security team.
                        (be it right or wrong)

I Know one fact in the matter- the lady they use as their lawyer / spokesperson (or at least used to) is Veeerry easy on the eyes. I mean an 11 and a 1/2 in person (on my scale) and smart.
I don't think I heard a word she said while we were talking....

They said that they would take care of it. That's all I cared about. I asked a lot of questions when talking to them. You are correct about NY as**ine laws, but I believe I'm covered. We go every year for the summer. We have a cabin in the mountains.

Read the fine print. If you willingly and knowingly break the law, they don't cover you.
