    Generator/Invertor opinions and suggestions

    I am needing to purchase a slightly larger invertor (need to keep the noise down for the public areas these are held in) for work events and was curious what everyone would recommend.

    Been looking at these 4 so any reviews or feedback is appreciated.

    Honda --> https://powerequipment.honda.com/gen...odels/eu7000is

    Champions --> https://www.acmetools.com/champion-p...198025698.html

    Predator --> https://www.harborfreight.com/collec...ogy-57080.html

    Duromax --> https://www.acmetools.com/duromax-ge...640016364.html

    Thank you ahead of time for the help.

    I have a couple of the smaller Honda EU2200i's and they are great. Had a older one that I used many times with no issues and sold it when I got the newer ones. I would go Honda.

      If price is no factor, the Honda. Otherwise, the Predator is awesome. I was blown away how quiet they are, and if I was looking for an inverter again, that is the route I would go. Several friends power their race trailers with them, including AC.

      The added price of the Honda isn't worth it in my opinion. But certainly it is of the highest build quality.

        Not to derail this thread, but what makes the generator "super quiet." is it just insulation around the frame? Maybe a better muffler too?

          As for me it would be the HONDA!
          Solid, Dependable and Quiet.
          I have the older 6500 Honda.

              I have the Duromax you have listed and love it so far. Plenty of power and super quiet. I run our well with at the farm. Only downside is it is big and heavy. I move it with the tractor most of the time.

              I found it on sale for $2000 at Factory Pure.

                Someone posted this link related to the predator on another TBH thread. Not sure if these folks make conversion kits for the other inverters you listed but this might be something to look into and consider.

                  The Predator 9500 and the Duromax 9000 are essentially the same generator. Saw a side by side review on YouTube. I have the Duromax and only run propane through it. Runs quite. Starts with a remote. Bought it instead of the Predator which at the time was cheaper because the Duromax was already set up for duel fuel.

                    I have a Wen 56380i - it’s been awesome and I’ve regularly seen them on sale…

                      I have a friend with a couple of Predator 3500 invertor generators and I was really impressed with how quiet and efficient they were. I know there are a few people who refurbish them and you can get them at good price from time to time.
