Hog Panels...Whose cut theirs in half?

Anybody cut their 16 footers in half? So they arent so miserable to transport in and out of the field? Was it worth it? What cutting device worked best for you? I was thinking battery opperated sawzall with a metal blade, or a grinder with a slicing disc.

I’ve done it with large bolt cutters. Bought them from Harbor Freight. They cut very easily

Bolt cutters work great. If you use a Sawzall, get carbide blades. They will cut like butter. I used them to cut cast iron grill grates. Took a few seconds per piece. https://www.amazon.com/EZARC-Carbide...s%2C116&sr=8-7

                      This^^
Bring the ends around till they touch then put the middle in the back of the truck and push it up next to the cab. You can haul a bunch in the back of a pickup without cutting them.

We built one pen out of panels that had been cut in half just becuase dad had them already cut from using them in a garden.

To me it is much easier to handle the full length panels since you have less joints. We also have built all of ours in locations that we can drag a 16ft lowboy to so we didn't have to carry them far.
