Some of the best times you’ll have are booking a random place with friends, and just see what’s out there! Enjoy!

Put a goose box or Gen Y torsion hitch and you don’t need anything but a turnover ball.
I converted mine to the Gen Y torsions last year and the difference in towing comfort is night and day. I also have a Ram short box with the dinky 6’ 4” bed with a tool box so I need all the help I can get with room.

Holey Smokes Resort Keystone SD
Just 11 miles from the Presidents.
Decent enough place to park [emoji1303]
Fwiw, my Anderson sway control hitch is working like a gem. We had 20-30 mph winds head on then side winds. No white knuckles with this set up.
Tugged my mpg’s down into the 7’s there for a bit [emoji15].

I’ve got a goose turnover ball, the hitch ain’t a problem. I like to have the bed for toys, tools, or cooking gear, that won’t fit under a 5 th wheel trailer. My dad had a 38 footer I used some, so I appreciate how they pull….just doesn’t fit our style right now.

We are heading to Alabama in two weeks, staying on Fish River for a week. We found a private spot that has a boat dock.
My nephew just bought a new boat and will be keeping it there. We will be on the water every day.
We got tickets to see Koe Wetzel at the Wharf in Orange Beach and will be able to take the boat to the show. That will be cool.
It’s going to be a fun week of fishing, camping, and hitting the beach to kick the summer off. I can’t wait!

Tonight’s stop is a decently generic KOA in
Buffalo Wyoming- there’s a pretty quick running stream beside it. We might try to foul hook something in it tomorrow.
We dropped by the Devils Tower national monument on the way over.
Some reading for those interested-

Nice trip.
We will be headed to Galveston Island SP the first week of June on a much needed get away. While we have been living in this thing for 277 days today, the change of scene will be nice. We will return to a finished house so I won't have to worry about getting it set up right away when we return.

Early Congrats on the completed home.
GISP is a great , quiet state park. Sounds like you’ve been there before. But if not, bring a wagon to haul your gear over the dunes to the beach front and mosquito spray if you plan on hanging outside after sundown.
The wagon is optional, mosquito spray os not - lol.
