    Tent Zipper Repair

Any ideas or thoughts on how to do it? Both my zippers finally broke, surely you don't just scrap the tent because of a broke zipper?

Canvas repair or shop, awning, boat covers, bimini top etc can fix it.

Define broke. What parts have failed? An entire new zipper can be seen in if needed but if it is just a bad zipper pull, there are simpler solutions.

        broke
        [brōk]
        VERB
        1) past (and archaic past participle) of break

        ADJECTIVE / INFORMAL

        1) having completely run out of money:

Brand of tent? I sent my Big Agnes tent back to the factory and have a few things fixed and they only charged me $20.

Zipper pulls are very easy and cheap to replace. If it needs to be sewed, take it to a tailer.

Scrap it and get a new one. You will be messing with it from now on unless you sew in a new one, which will cost you about 1/2 of what a new tent will cost.

Mine is a Big Agnes as well.

I don't think I need a new zipper sewn in. I'm not sure how to describe it other than it is the normal way a zipper breaks...

I would contact Big Agnes. They are in Colorado, I bet they offer a reasonable solution

I had 26" of snow collapse mine which tore a couple of holes and broke one of the holes. They were great and did a great job fixing it.
